Return and Refund Policy

We want you to love every jar of Zuur Mama ferments. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.

1. Perishable Food Rules

Our products are fresh, naturally fermented, and perishable. Because of this, the standard EU 14‑day withdrawal right does not apply to opened or temperature‑sensitive food items.

This is for food safety and hygiene reasons.

2. Returning Unopened Products

If you change your mind, you may return unopened jars within 14 days of receiving your order.

  • The jar must be unopened

  • The shrink‑wrap seal must be fully intact

  • The product must be in its original condition

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. 

  • Our return address is different than our company contact address. Please email us via info@zuurmama.com before sending anything back so we can help you with the process.

3. Items That Cannot Be Returned

For safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of:

  • Opened jars

  • Jars that were not stored in the refrigerator

  • Products damaged due to improper handling after delivery

4. Damaged, Leaking, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, leaking, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • A photo of the product

  • A photo of the packaging

  • Your order number

We will replace the item or refund you — whichever you prefer.

5. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 14 days.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
