2. Applicability

By placing an order on our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. We may update them from time to time, but the version active at the moment of your order applies.

 

3. Products & Pricing

• All prices include VAT.

• We do our best to describe and photograph our products accurately.

• Because our products are handmade and naturally fermented, small variations in taste, color, or texture are normal.

• Prices may change, but once you place an order, the price is final.

 

4. Orders & Payment

• Your order is confirmed once payment is completed.

• We accept iDEAL/Wero and credit card options shown at checkout.

• If payment fails or is incomplete, the order will not be processed.

 

5. Shipping & Delivery (Netherlands Only)

• We ship only within the Netherlands.

• Orders are usually shipped within 1–3 business days.

• Depending on the carrier, orders are delivered within 4-6 days after shipment. Delivery times are estimates; delays by the carrier are outside our control.

• Please double‑check your address — we can’t replace orders lost due to incorrect address information.

 

6. Fresh Food & Return Policy

Because we sell fresh, perishable food, the standard EU 14‑day withdrawal right does not apply to opened or temperature‑sensitive food items.

However, we still want you to be happy, so our policy is:

• Unopened jars may be returned within 14 days, at your own shipping cost.

• Opened jars cannot be returned for safety reasons.

• If something is wrong with your order, we will always make it right.

7. Damaged, Leaking, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, leaking, or incorrect:

• Please contact us within 48 hours.

• Include photos of the issue and the packaging.

• We will replace the item or refund you — whichever you prefer.

 

8. Liability

• Zuur Mama is not responsible for misuse or improper storage of fermented foods.

• Always keep products refrigerated as instructed.

• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for your order.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be handled by the competent court in Amsterdam.
